Join Local beekeeper Ry Meyer for Convivium’s Introduction to Beekeeping class! Want to ensure a steady supply of pollinators for your garden? Want to do what you can to support and increase the local bee population? Want to eat honey from your own backyard? Join local beekeeper Ry Meyer for Convivium’s Introduction to Beekeeping class to find out how to get started! This hands-on class is two sessions long and will help aspiring beekeepers prep for summer beekeeping and use tools of the trade. You’ll learn about equipment, bee husbandry, maintaining bee health and weatherization. This class focuses on skills and theory to prepare you for keeping your own bees. You will not work with live bees in this class. Thursdays, February 10, 6-8 pm and February 17, 6-8 pm Convivivum Urban Farmstead is a non-profit dedicated to creating community around food production, preservation, preparation and enjoyment.
