This is an Advisory Board interest meeting for those considering assisting Blood Assurance increase walk-in blood donations and blood drives The advisory board is a representation of community leaders from many walks of life that assist Blood Assurance. It promotes awareness to their communities about the importance of supporting their local blood supply for their local hospitals. Another objective of the advisory board is to assist Blood Assurance for blood donations by the blood mobile or inside set-up team that drives up to your door. Each member is asked to review the following: · The advisory board meets quarterly usually for lunch or breakfast (see the attached schedule). · The goal is to ensure the local hospitals are receiving blood collected by the community members and local organizations to save lives together. · Each advisory board has a chairman and is member of the board of directors for Blood Assurance. · The chairman is asked to attend the board of directors meeting in when his or her schedule allows. · Each advisory board is asked to plan one or two events per year to bring awareness to the community and bring in donations to support their hospitals. · The advisory board assists in connecting Blood Assurance representatives to be speakers for service clubs, schools, businesses, churches and other organizations. · Advisory board members are asked to make suggestions where Blood Assurance needs to partner with specific organizations or activities. · Post meeting summary with action items and timelines for each project to be emailed to its members. The mix for this group includes: Political, School, Large Employers, Chamber, Media, Clergy, College, Hospital, Banker, Government, First Responders, Others as Needed
