A bit about Maria: Maria DaRosa is a mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, aunt, cousin, colleague, friend and is battling cancer. Maria was first diagnosed with colon cancer in June of 2021. Since then Maria has been unable to work her job as a registered nurse due to this illness. After surgery and many rounds of chemotherapy, Maria needs the support of her community and loved ones to continue to fight the disease, to regain her strength to return to the essential job of nursing and to her quality of life! Maria extends her deepest gratitude for the generosity of those who are coming together to uplift her in her time of need. Maria is a caregiver at heart who always puts others before herself. Although she remains positive , the financial burdens that come with this illness have been a source of stress and continued challenge to navigate. The goal of this fundraiser is to raise $10,000 to assist with medical bills and cost of living while Maria has been unable to work her job as a Registered Nurse throughout her surgery and chemotherapy treatment.
