Description
If you are retiring a service dog; can no longer keep or care for it, or if the need for a service dog no longer exists...we should talk.
But especially if you are looking to rehome an older Golden Retriever, male or female, then I can provide an excellent home environment with a lot of love and care.
I live in the Berkeley Hills in a secured gated facility quite a distance from any traffic. There is more than ample open space available. I live between Dwight Way and Derby Street, bordering above Waring Avenue and extending up the hill approximately 700 acres. There are lots of redwoods, pastures, and deer trails.
I am a senior citizen (70) who lives alone (no other pets) and has no family. I reside in a large one-bedroom, climate-controlled apartment. I am home 24/7. I no longer drive. I am seeking a late-aged (older) Golden Retriever possessing an especially quiet, mellow, and non-energetic temperament; not a puppy or a frenetic high-energy youngster.
I can provide a responsible and quality living environment; regular veterinarian attention; 24/7 company and attention; daily exercise by leashed walking and occasional dog park time; daily grooming maintenance, plenty of toys, challenging mental and behavioral tasks.
The dog must be comfortable indoors, friendly, and non-aggressive. Knowing basic commands such as heel, sit, lie down, stop, and stay are a big plus. Must be able to walk leashed.
I live in a no-alcohol, no-tobacco, and non-recreational drug-free home. I have prior experience with dogs.
