Description

Today I went back and listened to The Cardigans today and I was very impressed with their output in their prime (First Band On The Moon era). Please allow me to share with you what I love about The Cardigans. * They had an amazing looking female lead who sang sweetly about dark shit and even if it wasn't dark, you were still left wondering if you missed something... * The band was a tight and well rehearsed combo who added significant color, dynamic, unique and inspired hooks while able to hang back and properly support their singer and then flex their muscles when space permitted. They never got to be as huge as Blondie. They didn't have the benefit of a cultural movement ( NY PUNK) to propel them and their image. BUT I maintain that they were comparable to Blondie in creative range. Anyway, I'm looking for others who play and sing who have the bandwidth to offer their passions, work ethic and skills to a START UP PROJECT. I play guitar, bass and keys ( in that order ). I can open my mouth and sing sometimes, but not all the time. Depending upon who shows up and sticks I can maybe fill in necessary gaps in a newish line up. The ultimate goal of this ad is to find some prime movers to form the nucleus before doing any extraneous recruiting.... I have a day job, a night job, a personal life and other bands. Be gentle and kind with my time and aspirations. Thank you. Rilo Kiley: Jenny Lewis was a great songwriter and singer. The band was mediocre. That's what I want to avoid.
