Description
WALTHAM, MA — A massive pothole on I-95 in Waltham resulted in severe travel delays Thursday morning, reported Boston 25 News.
The pothole, located in the second travel lane before exit 41/Route 20, left many drivers with flat tires throughout the morning.
MassDOT maintenance crews filled in the pothole with a temporary patch by the early afternoon, said Boston 25 News.
Because the state of Massachusetts does not cover repair costs to cars damages by potholes, the impacted drivers will be stuck with hundreds of dollars worth of repair bills and some have to replace multiple tires.
The Massachusetts Department of Transportation does pay for injuries caused by roadway defects.
