Press release from Greater Fort Myers Chamber of Commerce: 2022-01-20 8th Annual Taste of the Cape Returns to Tarpon Point Marina February 6, 11am – 6 pm The 8th Annual Taste of the Cape, a community event held in Cape Coral that celebrates both the culinary arts and live music, will return to Tarpon Point Marina this season. A partnership, developed between the Gulf Coast Symphony and the Chamber of Commerce of Cape Coral Education Committee, highlights some of the best restaurants in Cape Coral, a juried arts and craft fair, and brings premier live entertainment, including a full symphony performance, to the South Cape area. On Stage Entertainment Schedule FreeCoasters 11am Strange Arrangement 12:45 Gulf Coast Jazz Collective 2:30 Gulf Coast Symphony 4:30 The event draws thousands of attendees each year and will be held on Sunday, February 6, 2022. Attendees will enjoy an international array of great food from local restaurants serving their signature dishes, plus a wide variety of craft beers & fine wines. Throughout the day, enjoy musical performances by local bands, and finish the day with another sensational Symphony at Sunset, with a waterfront view, performed by the Gulf Coast Symphony. Back by popular demand, patrons can enjoy a unique VIP experience, with a private tent with tables and servers, VIP bathrooms, VIP parking, preferred stage-front seating, and a host of other amenities. VIP passes are extremely limited and will sell out fast. Purchasing tickets in advance is recommended in order to avoid lines at the gate. It is also recommended to show up at the beginning of the event to avoid the traffic leading into Tarpon Point Marina. All proceeds from the Taste of the Cape support the Education Committee's scholarship program and the Gulf Coast Symphony's music education and community programs.
