Press release from the County of Rockland: January 20, 2022 The Board affirmed their focus on the continuing care of the animals and reassured my Administration of the short- and long-term stability of their organization. The Rockland County Department of Health continues to visit the shelter twice a day to ensure the health and safety of the animals, and the County remains committed to building a new state-of-the-art shelter facility. I continue to ask those who regularly volunteer with or support Hi Tor to stay committed.
