'Drug House' Found In Duxbury Has Police Searching For Suspects

DUXBURY, MA — An investigation is underway after police found a variety of narcotics, including a large amount of cocaine, ammunition, stun guns, and commercial money counting machine inside an unoccupied apartment they referred to as a "drug house" in Duxbury Thursday. Duxbury police responded to an apartment on Post Road after receiving a call reporting extensive drug activity at the residence. Police say they obtained a search warrant and found multiple drugs, including a large container of cocaine, sufficient to support a charge of trafficking under Massachusetts law, police said. "The layout of the apartment and evidence found there, indicate that it had been used for the storage, manufacture, distribution, and use of narcotics," Duxbury police said in a news release. Authorities also seized ammunition, stun guns, stolen property, and a commercial money counting machine. Police have not yet named any suspects and no charges have been filed. An investigation into the location of the renter and other potential suspects is still ongoing, police said. Currently, the maximum sentence for drug trafficking charges in Massachusetts is mandatory minimum imprisonment in the state prison for 2.5 years – maximum sentence of 15 years, or.
