Press release from the Metropolitan Police Department: January 19, 2022 Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department's Second District announce an arrest has been made in reference to Burglary Two offenses that occurred in the Second District. Burglary Two: On Sunday, January 16, 2022, at approximately 12:08 am, the suspect forcibly entered an establishment in the 1800 block of I Street, Northwest. Once inside, the suspect took property then fled the scene. CCN: 22006712 Burglary Two: On Sunday, January 16, 2022, at approximately 12:40 am, the suspect forcibly entered an establishment in the 1700 block of M Street, Northwest. Once inside, the suspect took property then fled the scene. CCN: 22006717 Burglary Two: On Sunday, January 16, 2022, at approximately 1:00 am, the suspect forcibly entered an establishment in the 1900 block of Q Street, Northwest. Once inside, the suspect took property then fled the scene. CCN: 22006749 Destruction of Property/Unlawful Entry: On Sunday, January 16, 2022, at approximately 1:25 am, the suspect forcibly entered an establishment in the 1600 block of 20th Street, Northwest. The suspect then fled the scene. CCN: 22006747 Burglary Two: On Sunday, January 16, 2022, at approximately 2:15 am, the suspect forcibly entered an establishment in the 2000 block of S Street, Northwest. Once inside, the suspect took property and fled the scene. CCN: 22006719 On Tuesday, January 18, 2022, 55 year-old Gabriel Wingila, of no fixed address, was arrested and charged with the above offenses.
