MALDEN, MA — A Malden man found with "numerous" guns and more than 90 grams of crack cocaine was sentenced to prison Wednesday, the U.S. Attorney's office said.
Alberto Junior Lopez, 27, pleaded guilty in 2020 to one count of possession with intent to distribute 28 grams or more of cocaine base and one count of possession of a firearm with an obliterated serial number.
Federal authorities said Lopez's home was searched during a 2018 investigation into a drive-by shooting in Revere in which he was a suspect. Authorities seized a Colt .45 automatic weapon with an obliterated serial number, a Glock .45 automatic, two loaded Glock magazines, several rounds of other ammunition, a bag containing about 94 grams of crack cocaine and more than $3,000 in cash, the U.S. Attorney's office said.
Lopez was sentenced to five years in prison and five years of supervised release.
