RIDGEFIELD, CT — At a Jan. 10 Ridgefield Economic & Community Development Commission special meeting, Ridgefield Playhouse executive director Allison Stockel attended and explained the ongoing impacts the coronavirus pandemic is having on the Playhouse. According to meeting minutes, Stockel said "the latest variant of the coronavirus is definitely making bookings more difficult – both for the Playhouse and other arts groups around town. Some performers are canceling, and ticket sales are down overall, and there is about a 20% no-show rate from people who do buy tickets. She believes that things will get back to pre-Omicron levels by late February and March." Several events are scheduled for the Playhouse in January and February. View them all here. 1980s icon, Richard Marx, is scheduled to perform at the Playhouse on Feb. 25.
