CHELMSFORD, MA — A person has died after being struck by a tractor-trailer in Chelmsford Thursday afternoon. Massachusetts State Police say the accident happened right in front of exit 84 on Route 3 north, just after 3 p.m. The person was in the breakdown lane, tending to their broken-down car when they were hit by the truck, WHDH reported. State police are asking everyone to avoid the area or expect lengthy traffic delays of up to three miles. No additional information was immediately available.
