Description

MILFORD, CT — Plans to build a depot and fueling facility for a bus company in Milford have been paused because of a wetlands violation, the New Haven Register reported. The proposed facility would be built at 615 Plains Road for Durham School Services, the student transportation operation Milford contracts with, the New Haven Register said. But work is now paused, as the development company working on the project was given a notice of violation. According to the Milford Inland Wetland and Watercourses Agency, contractors had constructed a parking area within 100 feet of a wetland or watercourse, which is illegal without a permit, the Register reported. Now, the development company — named 615 Plains Road, LLC — will need to submit a detailed mitigation and planting plan to restore the wetland by Feb. 1, the Register reported.
