*post is lengthy but contains important information, please read* Asher is a 5 year old pit bull who loves nothing more than to snuggle in your lap and lounge all day. He gets a serious case of wiggle-butt when excited and is over-all a huge love bug. He’s gentle with kids from toddlers to high school; and fine with other animals when given an appropriate introduction. I don’t recommend houses with infants just because he doesn’t always pay attention to his surroundings and could accidentally jump on/run into a baby sitting on a couch or crawling on the floor. He is neutered and up to date on all shots (will provide records upon adoption). He also recently had a toenail trim at the vet. He’s house and crate trained, but will have an accident if not let outside often enough. He does need a fenced yard or to be leashed outside because he WILL take off otherwise. He also shouldn’t have any type of blanket or bed in his crate because he’ll eat it. We’ve tried. He will come with his crate, some food (canned and hard food), treats, collar, leash, a couple of chew toys, a few months worth of flea and tick preventative, his medical records, and his raised food bowls. He is not currently on heartworm preventative because it’s been a year since he was tested, but our other dog just tested negative for heartworms (we planned to have him tested at a later date if other dog was negative because the vet bill was already high). Only rehoming because of health issues on my part. I have a condition that causes joint dislocations and he’s very strong on a leash, which has led to injury for me on several occasions. He does well with a gentle leader, which I’ll send with him if I can find it. Asher is a good boy who deserves an awesome, permanent home. It’s breaking my heart that I can’t meet his needs. I’m asking a $100 rehoming fee for him and all his supplies, as well as a vet reference (if you don’t currently have pets, please provide the name of the vet you intend to use) and photo updates.
