Press release from the University of Houston: January 21, 2022 Celebrated Houston chef and restaurateur Chris Williams will visit the University of Houston to serve up some tasty Southern specialties for students and package meals for Houston's communities-in-need. Chef Williams, who's made a name for himself serving up well-refined Southern food with international infusions at his nationally celebrated Museum District restaurant Lucille's, will be at Cougar Woods Dining Commons on Wednesday, Jan. 26, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. His menu includes an Ethiopian inspired dish, Berbere-spiced chicken breast, as well as cranberry rice pilaf and stewed okra and tomatoes. In addition to serving the students, Chef Williams and the UH Dining team will prepare 500 meals for families in Houston's Third Ward neighborhood. His charitable organization, Lucille's 1913, has provided nearly 400,000 meals for Houstonians since the beginning of the pandemic.
