Press release from Johnson City Parks & Recreation: January 20, 2022 Memorial Park Community Center, 510 Bert St., will offer the following free programs designed specifically for individuals with special needs. Caregivers are welcome, as no personal care will be provided. Therapeutic recreation programming is part of a concerted effort by Parks and Recreation to improve the quality of life for people with disabilities through programming. MPCC staff member Rachel Malone is a certified therapeutic recreation specialist. She currently is leading a series of related classes and programs. For more information, call 423-461-4851.
