MERCER COUNTY, NJ — Vehicle thefts are continuing to take place in Mercer County. Over the past few nights, three vehicle thefts were reported in Robbinsville.
According to the police, two of the vehicles had the keys/key fobs left inside and another was taken while it was running.
Robbinsville is not the only township in Mercer County to experience motor vehicle thefts. Thefts have been reported by West Windsor, Hamilton, Princeton and East Windsor. "In fact, motor vehicle thefts have increased throughout the state of New Jersey over the past several months," police said.
In response to the uptick of vehicle thefts, the Robbinsville Township Police Department has increased patrols throughout the township in unmarked and marked patrol vehicles.
The Police department has asked residents to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activity to the Robbinsville Township Police Department at 609-259-3900 or call 911 if it is an emergency.
