Three new COVID-19 related deaths and hundreds more infections have been reported in southwest Indiana. WNIN's John Gibson has the update:
The Indiana Department of Health announced two new COVID-related deaths in Posey County and one in Warrick County.
The agency also tallied more than 700 new infections in Vanderburgh County on the Wednesday dashboard.
The number of hospitalized COVID patients across the 12-county region of southwest Indiana rose to 243.
Statewide, 118 more COVID related deaths were counted, with more than 16,000 new cases.
The agency put every county in the state in the "red" category for infections.
