Description

Loving is an understatement. Somebody abandoned this sweet girl in a really tough part of winter for Alabama. Probably near or at our house, because she didn't seem scared or confused, or even like she'd been without food all that long. In a woody area. Clearly hasn't been abused by people or other dogs. Long post, but I'll try to provide as much as possible. The more information, the better when looking for a new companion, and I want somebody to enjoy her as much I would. Not fixed. Big teddy bear personality. Cuddler. Not sure how old she is, but definitely way less than a year. Not a lot of hair. Seems like it would make a good hunting dog friend, or just an inside and outside family pet. Doesn't seem like she's been in heat yet, but can't see her getting bigger. She needs owners with enough free time to give plenty of love and attention. Have been trying to give her at least an hour a day with it being so cold. Seems like she's spent at least some time indoors. Will need a bath after spending a lot of time outside and in her house, but short hair should be easy to bathe. Definitely wants inside, and needs to be near her owners. Like to run around the house. I have two senior dogs in the house that wouldn't let me keep her, and don't live alone, so I can't check out her inside behavior. Was pretty amazed how well-behaved she is, so it shouldn't be much of an adjustment as long as you have the time at such an important age. Has been staying around the house really well. Everything seems so natural for her. Took up with her dog house immediately. Loves the company of other dogs, and would make a great playmate, but needs a willing partner. No signs of aggression or fear, and she does listen when you let her know she's interested in something iffy. If you have kids, they probably need to be at a reasonable age where they can roughhouse with her some. Fetches. Big feet. Loves toys, and probably needs a lot of them indoors. Probably not a cat dog, but might could be with enough supervision. If I didn't have mine, I'd keep her in a heartbeat. She would be a lot of fun. Any questions or more varied photos, let me know. Call or text. Serious re-homing inquiries only.
