JOLIET, IL — Joliet police say a 44-year-old Joliet man was arrested Thursday evening inside the Louis Joliet Mall on disorderly conduct charges after he displayed a gun in his waistband to a woman in the parking lot of the Texas Roadhouse, 3151 Tonti Drive.
The incident happened at 5 p.m.
At the Texas Roadhouse, Joliet police say Marvin Hogan approached a woman inside her car and asked for money and she told Hogan she didn't have any cash. Hogan then raised his shirt to reveal a handgun in his waistband, before leaving the area, according to police reports.
Joliet police later learned Hogan was inside the Louis Joliet Mall and that he had an air pistol resembling a real gun, according to police spokesman Dwayne English.
Joliet police said Hogan had an active Will County arrest warrant for narcotics as well as a Desoto County, Mississippi arrest warrant. Hogan was taken to the Will County Jail at 7 p.m. Thursday.
He resides in the apartment units on the 500 block of West Bellarmine Drive, near McDonough Street.
