Portland Hit And Run Kills One, Injures Another, Three Arrested

PORTLAND, OR — Three people are under arrest after police say that they fled the scene of a hit and run crash. One person was killed and one seriously injured in the crash. It happened around 11:30 p.m. Thursday night at Southeast McLoughlin Boulevard and Holgate. When police arrived at the crash, they found a Toyota Camry and a Honda Accord. The Camry had two people in it. the passenger was dead and the driver was rushed to the hospital in serious condition. The Accord was empty. Witnesses told police that they saw three people running from the Accord, which had crashed into the Camry. Police searched, quickly found two of the people. the third was located soon after. The Police Bureau's Major Crash Team determined the driver was 22-year-old Ayzaiah J. Walker. He's charged with manslaughter, assault, reckless driving, and driving under the influence. The names of the victims and the other people in the car with Walker have not been released.
