Police Search For Hot Prowl Suspect At UCLA Students' Apartment

CULVER CITY, CA — Police are looking for an attempted burglary suspect who tried breaking into UCLA students' off-campus apartments in Culver City Thursday. The hot prowl was reported at about 8:50 a.m. Thursday and again at noon, according to UCLA Police Department. A victim reported that an unknown suspect attempted to enter their residence through their balcony door sometime between 10 p.m. Wednesday and 8 a.m. Thursday, police said. The victim found their balcony screen door ajar. A second victim reported a similar incident happened on their balcony sometime between 1 a.m. Wednesday and 11 a.m. Thursday in the same building, police said. Both residences were occupied at the time of the attempted burglary, police said. No injuries were reported. No suspect description was immediately available. This incident is currently under investigation, police said.
