Alpharetta, GA – This Christmas was supposed to be a wonderful time for the Alpha Arts Guild to show their art in the office corridors of the upscale Eat, Work, Play, retail environment called Avalon. But unfortunately, someone decided to be a Grinch and steal two paintings just before the Christmas season of 2021. The Alpha Arts Guild is a nonprofit organization, proudly helping local artists showcase their work since 2008. The Guild has been providing beautiful art for display and sale at Avalon for the last 6 years without incident. Located in the office corridors at 5000 and 6000 Avalon Boulevard and open only during business hours, the exhibit felt quite safe. “We never dreamt that someone would steal two pieces of art from one of our artists. We are truly saddened by this event and even more so in that neither the police, nor Avalon Security, have been able to help recover the art yet.” said Alpha Art Guild President, Barbara Rush. Melissa Jones, the Assistant General Manager of Avalon, is offering a reward of $250 for the return, or information leading to the return, of these two beautiful paintings. The thief had good taste. Leticia Bernadac is one of the Guild’s most distinguished members. She is a classically trained professional artist and has been selected to participate in local Museum shows. The missing paintings are Elevated Flight II and Elevated Flight III. They are 11” x 14” oil on canvas. We are requesting the help of the local Alpharetta community in finding them so that they can be returned to their rightful owner, Leticia Bernadac. If you know anything about the theft, please contact Leticia at 678-951-2241 or [email protected] or [email protected]. The paintings can also be returned anonymously to 5000 Avalon Boulevard, Alpharetta GA 30009 during office hours…just hang them back on the wall and all will be forgiven. Please support your local artists so that we can continue to showcase our art throughout the community. We want to brighten your day with our creations. The theft has not stopped the artists from showing their work. The art can be viewed Monday through Friday 8:00 am - 6:00 pm.
