Jewish Family and Career Services (JF&CS) offers HomeShare ATL, a thorough, careful matching service to connect homeowners wanting to offer a private room in their home with adult renters seeking an affordable place to live in Cobb, DeKalb, Fulton, or Gwinnett county. HomeShare ATL will screen all participants, homeowners and seekers, to ensure safety and the best possible matches. Arrangements are made for two or more unrelated people, one of whom is 60 years of age or older. Our program is nonsectarian. Covid precautions followed. For more than 130 years, JF&CS has been dedicated to strengthening and enriching the lives of individuals, families and community, both Jewish and non-Jewish, and helping them meet the challenges of daily life. The new program complements other services for older adults offered by Aviv Older Adult Services of JF&CS, such as One Good Deed — a friendly visitor volunteer program — and other resources it provides to the Atlanta community.
