Description
I am a local live sound engineer who, like many of us, has some down time due to lack of gigs (thanks COVID!). I am the technical director at a seasonal theater/bar (now closed for the winter) that offers both movies and live music events (see pics) here in Maine.
I am looking for bands/sound engineers that are looking to learn more about live audio/sound techniques and equipment that can help bring their band's sound/audio skills to the next level. Some areas we could cover:
-Basic audio concepts using both analog and digital consoles.
-Switching from analog to digital
-Digital Console technology
I have extensive background with the Behringer X32, but the concepts for similar consoles are the same.
-Hands-on training with the X32.
-Switching to in-ear monitors (especially if you have previously had a bad experience with them).
-Getting a good mix in your stage wedges (or in ear monitors).
*My rates are fair/flexible but will vary depending on the level of work.
*Please note that I am a "live sound" engineer, and while I do some recording, my specialty uses many techniques that are different from that of a recording engineer who works in a studio.
*Please do not message me if you are under the age of 20. I have no interest in teaching teens. Sorry.
