1 day workshop (with the option for course credit) to help pastors , chaplains and/or church volunteers learn basic counseling skills.
Students learn how to identify & respond to Depression and other Mood Disorders. They discuss the emotional and relational impact of these issues as well as their overlap with grief and loss. Special attention will be given to how to respond to these issues, including an understanding of differences across the lifespan.
Intended for pastors, chaplains and church volunteers (e.g., small group leaders) who would like to be better equipped to work with individuals and groups in their ministries (without pursuing a professional counseling license at this time).
