We are looking to rehome Buttercup, our Great Pyrenees rescue dog. She is estimated to be a senior dog.
She is a sweet heart who knows her size and loves to rest her head on your lap for cuddles and pets. She is very low energy and very much enjoys sniffing the fresh air outside when on walks. She is slow and doesn’t move faster than a brisk walk when emphatically coaxed. She was rescued about a month ago and had very overgrown nails. I believe that with time and regular mail clippings she will start to be more energetic. I think her toes hurt from being pushed into awkward angles due to long nails.
She will surprise you with her agility from time to time- one time she lifted her leg, balanced perfectly, and peed on a bush like a male dog.
She can get playful with proper pets and silliness. I haven’t been able to get her interested in toys.
She loves sleeping in her dog bed all curled up.
She comes with her dog bed, premium dog food (24 lb left), Cosequin (for her joints), leash, collar, vaccination paperwork (up to date), and microchip info/logins. The vet prescribed anxiety medication due to her not liking to be handled by the vet (she would cry and wine and try to get away).
Best in home with no small children. She has started to low-key growl at my 3 year old so it’s best she finds a new home to her preferences. She loves to walk and sniff about so a yard would be a plus. She is good on a leash.
Rehoming fee to cover some of the cost of her food and supplies and vet checkup -$120.
