Interested in guitar and drums to do some very different, retro blues - preferably a couple of guys in their 50s or so who are very local to the 85022 zip code. I don’t want to have to schedule things for a weekly session and drive to the hinterlands. Rather, two friends who love blues and want something easy to put together. I’ve spent the past few years immersed in the business side of it and am tired of that stuff. I want to do music again - create, record, jam, live, build the concept. If you’re a guitarist, you don't have to be the best, just love blues and retro rock. And if you’re a drummer, beats and fills are fine. Neil Peart isn’t needed. Doug Clifford will do. As for both, please, no rock clichés. Finally, as alluded to, I’ve spent some time on the business side of it and have figured out how to get stuff to radio (for those with more ambition than just playing the local mom and pop). I’ve got some good recording equipment and live in the world of spinning tape and vinyl records. I’d love to start hanging out in some drummer’s spare room or garage, have some fun, and make it happen. Finally, be forewarned, I’m a bit of a musicologist. I love to talk music history, records, and drink coffee. Beer works, too (although these days I mostly sip).
