Description
Join us for our first Author Talk of 2022, featuring local playwright and theater artist, Allison McCall! Local playwright Allison McCall is joining us for our first Author Talk of 2022! Her world premiere show, Waiting For Alice opens at Mad Horse Theatre Company on February 3rd. Allison McCall (she/her) has been a proud member of Mad Horse Theatre Co. since 2015, most recently appearing as Mae in You Got Older with other recent MHTC work including The Effect (Connie), Radiant Vermin (Jill), The Tomb of King Tot (King Tot/Atlanta); among others. She serves as the Director of Artistic Programming on the MHTC leadership team, and sits on the MHTC Board. By day, Allison is the Theatre Company Coordinator with Maddy's Theatre at the Children's Museum and Theatre of Maine, or is off climbing mountains as often as she can. Thank you to Mad Horse, this beautiful cast, and incredible production team for the support in bringing Waiting for Alice to life. Endless gratitude to Charlie and Max for the conversations and trust that inspired this project in the first place: this Wonderland wouldn't exist without you. Please reserve your spot in advance, as seats are limited! Attendance is free to Mechanics’ Hall Members, and $10 suggested donation for non-members. Please note our in-person Covid safety policies: To ensure the safety of our staff, guests, and community, and under the direction of our Board, Mechanics’ Hall requires proof of full vaccination against COVID-19 (or an appropriately time-stamped negative COVID-19 test) for all persons attending our events until further notice. All persons must be masked for the duration of their time in the Hall, regardless of vaccination status in accordance with our current Masking Policies. This decision was made to help keep our community safe and our doors open. All attendees must either: Present a physical copy or a photo of their COVID-19 vaccine card along with a valid photo ID (state, government, or school ID); orProvide a time-stamped printout, photo, or email of a negative PCR test taken within 48 hours of the event or a negative Rapid Antigen Test taken within 36 hours of the event, along with a valid photo ID (state, government, or school ID). Mechanics' Hall inspires and enriches the community by promoting ingenuity, creativity, innovation, and the diffusion of useful knowledge.
