Join End Hunger Connecticut! at The Firestone for a Community Conversation about the SNAP program, advocacy, and more! Join End Hunger Connecticut! (EHC!) at The Firestone for a Community Conversation about the SNAP program and their efforts to address food insecurity across Connecticut. This is your chance to learn more about federal food assistance resources and how to partake in policy and advocacy initiatives this legislative season. EHC! will explain the SNAP program, discuss their call center, benefits of the program, and more! This is a great discussion for anyone who is curious about Federal Nutrition Programs, food security, and advocacy. The Firestone will provide a free selection of tea. Free parking is also available on site and across the street in the public Green Lot. Attendees are required to wear a mask during the event. Founded in 2001, End Hunger Connecticut! (EHC!) is a statewide anti-hunger nonprofit in Connecticut dedicated to eliminating hunger and promoting healthy nutrition through outreach, public education, and legislative and administrative advocacy. By partnering with state and local officials, schools, and community-based organizations, EHC! enhances the visibility and coordination of federal food assistance programs crucial to any effort to improve food security while increasing both family well-being and the amount of federal funding available to the state. EHC! also engages in strategic outreach, capacity building, and provides technical assistance on food and nutrition programs.
