Description

Join us this spring as we share photographic prints that support teaching and learning about local history in your elementary school class. If a picture is worth a thousand words, then discover the countless conversations possible with NYPL resources. Join us at Countee Cullen and learn how to use archival photographs in your class to explore local NYC history. In this workshop, you will learn about interpreting historical images with students, examine snapshots of Harlem from the 40s and 50s, and explore different ways to use photographs in your lessons. All participants will be given printed copies of the photographs and related materials. Attendees will be awarded 1.5 CTLE credits.
