Utah War Event Camp Floyd, Utah Territory Who: Albert Sidney Johnston's Army, 5th United States Infantry, Company D with 1852 Fatigue Jackets and 1839 Forage Caps with the opposing force of the Mormon Militia. Wooot! What: Utah War. We're suppressing the Mormon Rebellion. When: October 7-9, 2022 recreating September/October 1857. Where: Camp Floyd, Utah, near the Great Salt Lake City. Why: to raise awareness about the Utah War and the antebellum southwest in general. The event will also raise funds to support preservation efforts of Camp Floyd, Utah, the Utah Living History Association. Impression Guidelines: 5th United States Infantry Clothing The group buy options will be announced soon! Jacket Primary: 1852 fatigue jacket All enlisted men should endeavor to acquire an 1852 fatigue jacket. No altered jackets, no extra buttonholes, no shortened jackets, no tucked in jackets, no “reenactor grade” homemade jackets with giant stitches in white thread, no teal jackets, no exceptions. *group buy option available Primary: 1854 dress coat 1854 frock coats will be acceptable in limited numbers. Please contact the event staff at [email protected] for approval. Secondary: Civilian style wool overshirt Civilian style wool overshirt will be acceptable in limited numbers. Please contact the event staff at [email protected] for approval. Trousers 1851/54 trousers Footman pants made of sky blue kersey, Schuylkill Arsenal or contract made. With or without pleats. Dark blue pants are not appropriate and will not be permitted. *group buy option available Gaiters and leggings will not be permitted. Shirts US army issue shirt U.S. Army domet flannel or wool flannel shirts are HIGHLY ENCOURAGED. There is no excuse to not have a government issue shirt.
