Have you ever wanted to know how make espresso like the baristas at your favorite coffee shop? This class will teach you how!
The course will take place in the Training Room at Leslie Coffee Co. where barista trainer Sarah Leslie will cover how to prepare espresso including adjusting the grind or "dialing in". Each student will get hands-on practice steaming milk and pouring designs. No previous coffee experience required. This course will not cover milk steaming.
Objectives:
1. Perform the 13 steps of espresso extraction.
2. Distinguish by taste the impact of good versus improper extraction.
3. Adjust grind size, dose, and yield to achieve a balanced extraction.
4. Perform daily cleaning to keep espresso machine operating correctly.
Ticket price includes a $5 coupon towards any whole bean coffee or brewing supplies.
