Night-time janitor/custodian needed for 3 nights a week, Thursday, Friday, and Sunday. Your work begins when we are closed (after 6 pm) but your start time is flexible. 4 to 5 hrs a night, 3 nights a week. Need to be able to work independently. We are a doggie daycare and canine training center. Although you will not be working with the dogs, you will be exposed to dog fur, slobber, and the occasional potty spot. Clean building floors by sweeping, mopping, scrubbing or vacuuming them Clean windows and mirrors Cleaning walls Clean and supply restrooms Remove waste and empty trash Maintain cleaning chart indicating areas that were cleaned and inspected Replenish cleaning and maintenance supplies Organize janitorial storage areas Notify supervisors about unsafe conditions or concerning the need for repairs or maintenance Clean in accordance with COVID standards Qualifications for Janitor High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required Ability to observe safety and security procedures and to comply with policies Ability to read and interpret written information; ability to write clear statements; ability to communicate orally Must be able to do physical work and our floor operate scrubber Attention to detail Ability to follow schedules and keep commitments Ability to follow directions from a supervisor Ability to demonstrate professionalism Must be able to manage time efficiently and to work individually as well as within a team Ability to occasionally cover for other janitorial staff who work M, T and W
