His projects have included touring with Patty Loveless and John Cowan, and working as a regular on the Grand Ole Opry with Mike Snider. Tim was the solo guitarist on Charlie Daniels’ recording of “I’ll Fly Away,” and was nominated for the Best Country Instrumental Performance Grammy in 2005. That same year May was a session leader on the critically acclaimed Moody Bluegrass album (he later played on Moody Bluegrass II as well). In 2012, The Nashville Scene selected Tim in the Best Instrumentalist category for their Reader's Choice Poll. And in 2017, Tim performed on the stage of the legendary Carnegie Hall in New York. Over the years, May has been a member of various bluegrass bands like “Crucial Smith,” and duos with Fred Carpenter as “Carpenter & May,” and most recently with Steve Smith. Tim’s vocals can also be heard on his first solo album, “Find My Way Back and on A Bluegrass Tribute to Neil Young,” released in January 2008. Born out of Muscle Shoals, Alabama, firekid is the brainchild of virtuoso guitarist and singer Dillon Hodges. A child prodigy at guitar, Dillon won the National Guitar Championship at the age of 17, the 2nd youngest person to ever win the competition. After attending college in Alabama, Dillon moved to Nashville to work on music that could help him grow from the confines of the Bluegrass world to hitting a bigger audience, and firekid was born. -- Hope to see you there for another evening of songs, stories, and music. *Note, food and drinks are not included, but are available for purchase alongside a full bar of creative cocktails. -- Marcy Jo’s Muletown | 105 E. 6th Street, Columbia, TN 38401 Marcy Jo's Muletown hosts concerts that folks know as "Muletown in the Round."
