Gain a better understanding of addiction and how to support those who struggle with substance abuse. Substance abuse and addiction is on the rise like never before. This brief community event led by local therapist and addictions/substance abuse counselor, Stephen D. Hendrix, LPC, CADC II will help participants gain a better understanding of addiction and how to support those who struggle with substance abuse - offering hope and practical insight gleaned in his over 20 years working with addicts - both in residential recovery and through private practice - and those who care about them. This event is good for family members, professionals who work in mental health and/or substance abuse/addiction fields, community, church, and civic leaders, and for anyone who wants to get a better understanding of this challenge facing so many in our community.
