F & F Contractors Inc of Jacksonville Positions available DC Power helper (Paid intern/Apprentice) Installer to become a level 1 after your term. you will be working on pulling cable, sewing cable, construction of cable racking, addition or removal of non-powered or passive equipment, wiring and connections, floor plan layouts or bay mounting for DC power equipment on a job site. Essential Responsibilities: As the Field Service Level I or II Installer, you will: • Pack, unpack and inventory material and equipment, erect supporting structures, place cables and mount hardware • Work with hand tools, power tools, and electronic test equipment. • Perform work operations associated with the addition or removal of: non-powered or passive equipment, wiring and connections, construction of cable racking, floor plan layouts, battery platforms, bay mounting • Follow all EHS guidelines • Follow all instructions/directions given by the Manager or Lead Installer Qualifications/Requirements: • Preferred High School Diploma / GED but not mandatory • No Minimum for level 1 & minimum of 1 year of DC power installation experience or documented 1 year of electrical wiring experience • Ability and willingness to travel approximately 100% of the time • Ability and willingness to work varied shifts (swing shifts) • Ability and willingness to lift at least 40 lbs. • Ability and willingness to use a lifting technique to maneuver, install or remove 40-750 lb. batteries • Ability and willingness to frequently push or pull of cables up to 60 lbs. • Ability and willingness to frequently climb ladders up to 8 ft. • Ability and willingness to frequently work / stand on ladders for long periods of time • Ability and willingness to continuously stand • Ability and willingness to frequently reach above, below or at shoulder level • Ability and willingness to frequently bend, twist or stoop • Ability and willingness to frequently crouch or squat • Ability and willingness to be exposed to central office environment with moderate noise levels, nominal variations in heat and cold • Ability and willingness to work with computers and result in extensive exposure to PC and CRT screens • Youthful spirit to the way you work and great attitudes great PLUS!!!
