Hello! We'd like to invite you to take part in our monthly community service event for February 2022: "Blankets of Hope for the Homeless". I would like to take this opportunity to introduce myself. My name is Noa Mills, and I am the community engagement manager at The Samaritan Place. The Samaritan Place of Restoration is a not-for-profit organization established to serve disenfranchised individuals and families with chronic socio-economic challenges. Our vision is to restore stability in the lives of individuals and families we serve. Grounded in Matthew 25:35-36, Samaritan Place of Restoration is a resource for basic human needs, intensive case management and coordination of wraparound supports in the community. Samaritan Place of Restoration implements a service delivery strategy that is multi-generational in its approach to moving individuals and families toward achieving self-sufficiency. At The Samarian Place, we host a community outreach event once a month partnering with a state institutions, organizations, and groups. As we are currently preparing for our February 2022 event, we would love to invite you all to participate in this event’s community service opportunity. We are currently excited for next month’s event benefiting the New Castle County Hope Center in which we will be providing blankets for the homeless community here in Delaware. The event is being planned as the “Blankets of Hope for the Homeless” in which we will be preparing and writing notes of hope to be placed inside the blankets for those that could use it most. Additionally, we are partnering with Mary Kay and The Beehive LLC to provide and package hygiene packages along with these blankets. State leaders, state volunteer groups and organizations have been invited and we hope that as we seek to partner with members of the community that you would be willing to work together with us to make this event a united effort to share the reach of what we do with those in our state’s community as we conduct true service for those who need it most.
