Ruffalo Jill from Buddy's Second Chance Rescue will represent the Queen City along with 118 other pups in the 18th annual event that showcases shelter animals. Ruffalo Jill and her sister were rescued with 35 other pups from a kill shelter in Georgia. (Spectrum News)U.S. Representative Brian Higgins announced that $10 million will be invested to restore Times Beach Nature Preserve. The funding will support work by the United States Army Corps Buffalo District to fortify the break wall at Times Beach and help restore public access that was lost in storm damage two years ago. Other parts of Western New York will also receive funding, including Black Rock and Tonawanda harbors. Incorvia was known for sitting at his window at the corner of Elmwood Avenue and Allen Street and releasing thousands of soapy bubbles to delight passersby below.
