FREDERICKSBURG, VA — Two men were arrested in Fredericksburg on Wednesday after they were accused of forcing a woman to take drugs and then raping her in an apartment, according to a report from the Fredericksburg Police Department.
The men, Donte Jackson and Brandon Armstead, are being held without bond at the Rappahannock Regional Jail.
The incident occurred on Sunday, Jan. 16, at an apartment in the 800 block of Forest Village, according to court records and a report from the police department.
The victim told police the suspects held her at gunpoint in an apartment and forced her to take drugs. Then, they raped her, authorities said.
The police department noted that both suspects knew the victim.
The victim escaped from the apartment the next day and reported the incident to the police department. She was treated at a nearby hospital for minor injuries.
On Wednesday, Jackson and Armstead were arrested and taken to the Rappahannock Regional Jail, where they are being held without bond. Jackson is charged with attempted murder, rape, and the use of a firearm in commission of a felony. Armstead is charged with rape.
Police officials said the investigation is still ongoing, so further information will not be made immediately available.
