Hey, people of Burlington! It's me again, Danielle Fallon, your host of the Burlington Daily. First, today's weather: Mostly sunny and frigid. High: 4 Low: -13. Here are the top three stories in Burlington today: On Tuesday night, the City Council voted to extend the South Burlington mask mandate. The mandate states that masks must be worn in all buildings where the general public can go, such as grocery stores and restaurants. In places like gyms or clubs, masks must be worn in public areas but it is up to the business to decide on I'm asking policy throughout. (WCAX)A South Burlington man was charged in federal court for the distribution of methamphetamine. 33-year-old Quenton Dodson was arrested by Burlington police after they raided homes in the Ledgewood Circle neighborhood and found more than a kilogram of methamphetamine, several ounces of fentanyl and cocaine, two firearms, and more than $10,000. He is currently in the custody of the United States Marshals Service. (Department of Justice)The mittens that senator Bernie Sanders wore in his viral inauguration day meme are being sold for charity. Vermont school teacher Jenn Ellis teamed up with Vermont Teddy Bear to sell more mittens in that style and give 5% of the profits to Make-A-Wish Vermont. As of now, $30,000 has been raised enough to pay for three wishes for local children. (WCAX) From our sponsor: Tackling a big to-do list around the house to start the new year?
