Danbury Man Resisted Arrest, Faces Multiple Drug Charges: Police

DANBURY, CT — Police charged a Danbury man with multiple drug-related offenses following an investigation. The Danbury Police Department began their investigation of Anthony "Pablo" Abrahams, 24, after receiving multiple complaints from residents that he was selling illegal drugs throughout the city, according to Det. Lt. Mark Williams. On Tuesday, DPD investigators, joined by agents from the Drug Enforcement Agency established a surveillance of his residence at 4 Morton Street. Shortly before 5 p.m., police spied him leaving and entering his car and driving away. Shortly later, he was apprehended after parking in a private parking lot located several miles away. According the police report, Abrahams "briefly resisted the investigators but they were able to take him into custody in short order." Police say they found a "substantial" quantity of narcotics packaged for sale on Abrahams' person, and several ounces of crack cocaine and fentanyl, drug paraphernalia and several thousand dollars cash in his residence. After arrest and transport to Danbury Police HQ, Abrahams was changed with two counts of possession of a controlled substance, two counts of possession of a controlled substance with intent to sell, possession of drug paraphernalia and risk of Injury to a child. He was held on a $250,000 bond.
