Description

ANNE ARUNDEL COUNTY, MD — All Anne Arundel County Public Schools and offices will be closed Thursday because of the looming winter storm. The school system initially declared a two-hour delay around 5 a.m., but officials re-evaluated and announced the closure by 7 a.m. A Code Red is in effect for workers. Unit III employees still must head to work as required. Anne Arundel County could get up to 2 inches of snow. Isolated totals of 3 to 4 inches are possible. The area is under a winter weather advisory from the National Weather Service until 1 p.m. Advisories are the least urgent weather alert. Watches are more pressing, and warnings are the most serious. All fixed county bus routes will continue as long as weather permits. Anybody with transportation questions can dial 410-222-0022.
