Description
MAHWAH, NJ — Mahwah Township Public Schools will be on a delayed opening schedule Thursday morning because of snow and rain in the forecast.
The National Weather Service said that rain or a mix of rain and snow are likely before 4 a.m. Snow will continue until the noon hour Thursday, and will likely be under two inches of accumulation. The timing of the predicted snowfall makes the commute to school more difficult.
All public schools in Mahwah Township will open two hours later than normal, except for Title 1 Preschool and Pre-K Handicapped; those times are listed on the district calendar.
A winter weather advisory has been issued for east Bergen County and several other New Jersey counties from 5 a.m. until 1 p.m. Thursday.
