Immaculata employs over 330 faculty and staff, who together with the Sisters serve approximately 2,500 students. Job Description: Under general supervision, the incumbent will serve as a Triage Nurse at the Immaculata University Student Health Center. The Hourly Per Diem Non-Exempt/Registered Nurse duties include but are not limited to the health assessment of sick or injured students and health promotion for University community. Primary Responsibilities Minimum of 8 hours per week with potential for more/ on call per the needs of the department. Thorough knowledge of: Professional nursing principles. Methods and procedures. Anatomy and physiology applicable to assigned duties. Medical supplies and equipment used in nursing practice. The uses and effects of medications. Applicable state and federal laws and regulations pertaining to registered nursing and the scope of practice limitations of clinic support staff. PA RN license required Requirements: Exceptional people skills, a strong customer focus, sound judgement, and experience working successfully in a dynamic and demanding higher education setting.Ability to effectively apply nursing knowledge and demonstrate proper techniques and skills in performing nursing duties based upon reported symptoms and behaviors.Ability to develop trust and relationships with student population.Ability to analyze emergency situations and take prompt action.Ability to maintain patient confidentiality and privacy in compliance with applicable state and federal laws and regulations.Ability to maintain effective working relationships with practitioners and other health center support staff.Ability to be sensitive to and communicate effectively with student population from diverse backgrounds.
