Press release from the Nashua Public Library: January 20, 2022 Nashua families with children ages 6 and up are invited to explore local parks at Nature Detectives, a free program offered by the Nashua Public Library and the Nashua River Watershed Association (NRWA). Each month, led by NRWA naturalists, the group will set out on a new adventure, exploring the nature and history of the sites and completing a sleuth sheet while they search for clues. The group will meet from January to May, investigating a new topic each month: What's Up With Winter Wilderness? Greeley Park Saturday, January 29, from 1:30-3 pm Tales of the Tell-All Trees Lovewell Park Saturday, February 26, from 1:30-3 pm Discover Nashua River Tales and Trails Along the Riverwalk at the Nashua Public Library Saturday, March 26, from 1:30-3 pm Soil Safari Secrets Mine Falls Park Saturday, April 30, from 1:30-3 pm Water Wonders' Hidden Treasures Fields Grove Saturday, May 21, from 1:30-3 pm   Participants will learn about water and land, the history of the Merrimack and Nashua Rivers, human impact, wildlife corridors, and the importance of nature parks in urban settings. At the end of the series, families will receive a guide featuring discoveries from each participant. The guide will also be displayed in the Children's Room at the library and posted online.
