Pittsburgh Deadly School Shooting: 15-Year-Old Victim Identified

PITTSBURGH, PA — The victim in Wednesday's fatal shooting outside of Oliver Citywide Academy in Brighton Heights has been identified. Marquis Campbell, 15, of Pittsburgh, died at Allegheny General Hospital about an hour after the incident, the Allegheny County Medical Examiner's Office said Thursday. Police are searching for two suspects who opened fire on Campbell while he was in a school van outside the school. Mayor Ed Gainey on Wednesday pledged all law enforcement resources would be used to find the shooters. Oliver has switched to remote learning for the remainder of the week. Interim Pittsburgh Public Schools Superintendent Wayne Walters said Oliver students and employee assistance providers will be made available.
