Description
FREMONT, CA — It took firefighters in Utility Terrain Vehicles, a CHP helicopter, and an ambulance crew to rescue a woman from Mission Peak last weekend.
The woman, whose name was withheld, fell down an embankment and injured her leg.
At 3 p.m. firefighters in two UTVs responded, finding her in an inaccessible area. The fire department reports that "firefighters hiked down the embankment to make contact. The CHP helicopter was requested by the Incident Commander and utilized to short haul the patient up to the location of the UTVs so she could then be transported by firefighters down the hill to the Falck Alameda County ambulance."
An update on the victim's condition is not immediately available.
