Press release from the City of Stow: January 17, 2022 Stow, OH – (January 19, 2022 – 2:00pm) - The Parking Ban for the City of Stow has been lifted effective immediately. ___________________________________________ Stow, OH – (January 17, 2022 – 2:00pm) - We appreciate everyone's patience as we continue to weather this storm that has brought upwards of 20 inches of snow to our community in less than 24 hours. This storm will continue to have impact on travel tonight and into tomorrow. Our main roads are passable yet still need work to clear all lanes. Crews are starting to move toward the neighborhood streets, which will need several passes. It is going to take TIME! The emergency parking ban remains in effect until further notice. Thank you for your adherence to this ban. We hope all of our residents are safe and warm. We have seen and heard of so many instances of neighbors helping neighbors, and we couldn't be more proud of our community! We are truly in this together! ____________________________________________ Stow, OH – (January 16, 2022 – 5:00pm) - The Weather event for Stow and surrounding areas has been upgraded from an advisory to a WARNING. There is now an emergency parking ban in effect. If possible, please stay off our roadways, for your safety and so City crews are able to do their work unobstructed. Thank you in advance! Please stay safe! ____________________________________________ Stow, OH – (January 16, 2022 – 1:45pm) - We're making every effort to let residents know that a Winter Weather Advisory has been issued for the City of Stow and surrounding areas. The timeline for the event is from 7:00pm this evening (January 16) until 7:00am Monday morning (January 17). So that you are able to prepare, we anticipate that a parking ban will go into effect at 10:00pm this evening (Sunday, January 16). Our city staff, including Service, Police and Fire/EMS, is poised and ready to keep you as safe as possible during this upcoming weather event. Service Department crews are reporting in at 4:00PM today to pretreat our streets prior to the start of snowfall. The service department will be fully staffed around the clock until the weather event is over, with up to fifteen vehicles in action. The priorities for treating and plowing our roadways is as follows: First priority – Main streets Second priority – Secondary streets Third priority – Neighborhood streets If you are able to stay off the roadways during the event, that would be great for us and for you!
